1999 Aeromarine Sport Hydro
This was a 1999 Aeromarine 36 GP Hyrdoplane that got full race/pleasure rigging. The boat is owned by a team member and will be used for racing P class hydro in the IMPBA. This setup contains a Leopard 4082 X2 1800kv brushless motor paired with a OSE 150 for pleasure and a ZTW 200 for the race circuit. With a octura m5043 propeller the boat will do well over 75mph on a 4s setup.
2023 MHZ Dragon Lady
Inspired by a 38 Fountain offshore boat, this project started out as a bare hull imported from Germany. The boat is made by MHZ Powerboats and is 38 inches long by 7 and a half inch beam. This boat was going to be rigged for pleasure and mostly used for long straight lines but later was modified to accept a racing setup. This boat is a personal boat for Trevor to be mostly pleasure and used in IMPBA FE Offshore Limited classes. The setup is similar to the Aeromarine hydro but uses a Leopard 4074 2050kv brushless motor instead. With a M454 propeller the boat will do 50mph on 6s.
Aquacraft Lucas Oil Catamaran
This was boat that started it all. Originally with a 3640 1800kv brushless motor and a 90a speed controller. This boat has had 5 different motors in it 3 different speed controllers in it, 3 fires, 3 different rudders and OG Grim Racer hardware, she's seen it all. After the 3rd fire, it was time for a complete redo, the boat was sanded, holes filled and fiberglass repaired before a repaint .Finally landing a on a reliable, modern setup using a leopard 3650 with a speedmaster dual rudder pick up, the boat was finally ripping at speeds well over 65 mph on 6s. During a speed run she had a big crash cracking out the bottom of the hull. After the crash during a speed run, the boat was completely sanded down and repainted with white gel coat on top. The crash cracked a line down one of the sponsons damaging one of the steps in the hull The step was reformed back to its original depth and angle. The boat is now blank white and ready for a livery but is running again.
FPVWRA Spec Wing
This was my third wing build and best one yet. This wing has twice as many spars and is held together with epoxy. The wing is made of EPP foam and has a bheli speed controller with a T-Motor AT2310. 10kg micro servos drive the elevons and the winglets are made of plastiboard. The paint choice was neon to be able see the wing after crashes. Spec racing is where fpv wings race each other but there all built the same using the same electronics so that its down to who is a better pilot. This wing is capable of over 100mph with a 3 blade 4565 propeller on 3s.
Freestyle Fpv Quadcopter.
Quadcopters have been in the TL Racing heritage since 2015,even before the boats. The idea with this quad was to build a very durable easy to use quadcopter with very cheap parts and great performance. Most of focus was put into making the quad as durable as possible, with feature like upgraded rubber dampeners, reinforced antenna base, coax wires, lowpass ferret bead, camera mount dampener, stainless hardware, and various custom 3D printed parts. Using a x220 frame with a bheli 50a 4in1, a speedybee f3 flight controller and Sam Yu 2200kv motors. After all the upgrades this quad can take crashes at well over 50mph and fly over and over again.
